Which Would You Really Rather Have?

From the beginning of time, man created a delusional hierarchy of superior gods controlling inferior man with torture and terror. Down through time, nations emerged and some of the old ways changed in some ways at times. The inquisition and the holocaust are past examples of government imposed social control with torture, maiming and killing. 

Psychiatry, now, is the enforcement part of the government sponsored police, court, and prison system for social control with the brain-damaging deadly force of electricity, drugs, and knife. At 20 years of age, collapsing from the grief of not being loved, I was committed to psychiatry and labeled schizophrenic. Having been maltreated, having learned not to trust psychiatry, at my next commitment I was labeled paranoid schizophrenic. After 31 years of psychiatry, physically, emotionally and mentally devastated, terrified and despairing, suicidal and homicidal, I was incredibly still alive.

Judged a danger to myself and others, I was committed to a mental nursing home, a guard at the front door 24/7 — the last stop for the hopeless helpless. Two weeks later, following the directions of my mentor, a bug on the windowsill, I approached the door, the guard unlocked it for me, and I escaped back to the freedom of the streets.

. . . An emergency room nurse said, “Go to Alcoholics Anonymous; they teach people how to get well there.” I went. “You can get well; we will help you; alcohol and drugs are but symptoms of the disease of fear; essential to mental well being is quitting the brain drugging.” I was no longer suicidal or homicidal after my first meeting for they gave me hope and would help me. It took me six months to work through the terror, make the profound change from the automatic, cognitive 
concepts, physical reaction way of the psychological child, the child of man, and transcend to the cognitive perception, chosen, spiritual action way of the psychological adult, the child of God.

THE WRITING IN, ESCAPE FROM PSYCHIATRY, HAS BEEN COMPARED TO FRANCES FARMER'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY, WILL THERE REALLY BE A MORNING? Both books are written in the first person but reads as if written in the third person, the person watching and relating what she saw. I wrote my book by going back in memory and writing the thoughts I had at the time. Being a person with flight or fight reaction arrested psychological development, my recalled thoughts were naturally the subconscious awareness of the psychological child looking out at the world. Toward the end of the book as I develop psychologically and acquire cognitive perception, the prospective of voice changes to that of the psychological adult being out in the world.

WARNING: The drugs prescribed for me by psychiatry and told they could not harm me in any way were phenothiazine, originally, at the the time, and still currently, a paralyzing nerve toxin, a pesticide. Because of the powerful addiction, it was as dangerous for me to quit psychiatric drugs cold turkey as it was to take them. A real hospital saved my life. Psychiatric drugs cannot be quit cold turkey and must be slowly reduced down with medical supervision: the drug addiction withdrawal symptoms of anxiety, depression and physical upsets can be life threatening.
